The Cloud... who? AMG says they don't exist, but Gothamist knows all, and thankfully so - who wants to miss out hearing the Cloud Room's sassy early Bowie-esque lyrics with catchy dance hooks and beats?
The Cloud Room are Jason Pharr (drums), J (vocals, guitar), Benjamin Nugent (keys), John Petro (bass). The band, named after a swanky executive lounge near the top of NYC's greatest skyscraper, The Chrysler Building is slowly being swallowed up by your typical trend-setting showcase venues (Sin-E, Pianos, and the renowed CMJ festival).
Cloud Room will be releasing their debut album in spring '05 with Gigantic Music. Check these guys out, there's nothing really more I can say. I'm hooked!
