I'd like to talk about Ian Brown's fourth solo album "Solarized". Ian Brown’s voice captures you in a lull – one minute you’ll be listening to ‘Longsight M13’ and feeling nostalgia kick in of a long road trips or chats with jealous friends, the next minute your head will be bopping to “Happy Ever After” and you’ll be probably be mouthing the words to yourself: “holy fuck is this album good.” I know it's what I did.
Stone Roses fans who haven't tracked Brown's musical progress after that band's breakup will find much to love on Solarized, another mini-masterpiece that perfectly balances mood and melody.
