Maximo Park

Sorry for the lack of updates - the New York blizzard of 2005 has finally stopped me from going outside and enjoying the night life.

So what have I been listening to? Well Maximo Park has been on repeat for the last five hours. For those that don't know who they are - they have a bit of the Franz Ferdinad and Futureheads about them, but they’re also rougher at the same time. There's so much positive energy to them, you can't help but jump out of your seat and start dancing!

In truth, though, Maximo Park are all about pop songs. According to MuchMusic "They pepper their material with nagging, insistent hooks set in easy-yet-inventive structures, which seem to borrow from such excellent and disparate sources as The Stone Roses". I couldn't agree more!
